Press release | Texray AB, Gothenburg, Sweden | July 6th 2021. Texray has completed successful fundraising with new and existing investors. The raised capital will be used for Texray's global commercialization and expand the product portfolio with additional Personal Protection Equipment.
"It is very gratifying to receive such strong support for the company's exciting development, as we now approach the next stage of Texray's global commercialization. Together with new investors, we are in a great position to begin our global launch. We would also like to thank our existing shareholders for continued support and re-invest alongside the new investors. It is an important confirmation of their long-term commitment and confidence in our journey together", says Jeffrey B. Jump, Chairman of the Board at Texray.
Texray currently produces and markets two products. Both products are uniquely designed to enhance radiation protection while not compromising comfort for healthcare professionals exposed to radiation during surgical interventions. A recent scientific study shows that Texray's products combined can reduce radiation exposure to the head by an additional 74%, compared to the most commonly used products on the market. The unique Texray designed head protectors have been available on the European market for approximately one year and on the American market since 2021, after passing thorough research, scientific evaluations, development stages, granted patents, and quality certifications.
The new issue of shares will fund the continuation of Texray's commercial rollout and allow for more research and development to expand the product portfolio and research other areas of interest.
Texray, based in Gothenburg, Sweden, has developed the world's first radiation protection textile to address the need for comfortable and safe personal protection equipment (PPE). It is currently used in products designed for healthcare professionals exposed to X-ray radiation in surgical interventions. The Texray material may also provide value for professionals in various industry sectors, including first response, aeronautics, and space.
