As demand grows for radiation protection built on evidence, Texray formalizes its long-standing clinical and scientific network, welcoming interventional cardiologist Prof. Dr. Morton J. Kern, USA to its Clinical & Scientific Advisory Board.

Kern, one of interventional cardiology’s most respected clinical voices in the USA, has chosen to join our Clinical & Scientific Advisory Board. The appointment reflects a shared standard: Dr. Kern has built his career on holding clinical claims to thorough, evidence-based standards, the same ones that have always guided how we at Texray design and develop our radiation protective products.

BACKGROUND

Dr. Kern served as Chief of Cardiology at the Long Beach Veterans Administration Medical Center and holds a professorship in the Division of Cardiology at the University of California, Irvine, where he has taught since 2006. He came to UC Irvine from St. Louis University, where he was Professor of Medicine and directed the J.G. Mudd Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. His medical degree, internship, and residency were completed at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, followed by a cardiovascular fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.

His textbooks are used to train interventional cardiologists internationally, among them Kern’s Cardiac Catheterization Handbook and its companion volume, The Interventional Cardiac Cath Handbook. He has also published the fourth edition of the SCAI Interventional Cardiology Board Review and sits on the editorial board of numerous top ranked US Cardiology Journals.
